A lot can happen in 50 years. Five decades ago, South Street West was a vibrant corridor for business and nightlife, offering the best in goods, services and entertainment. While growth has occured in other parts of the City, business presence on South Street West has remained virtually nonexistent, with the exception of a few dedicated business owners whose shops have been located here for years.

A lot can happen in 50 years- including the rebirth of a neighborhood. The SOUTH STREET WEST BUSINESS ASSOCIATION (SSWBA), an organ-ization of long-standing and new local merchants and professionals, has been working for over a decade to make the neighborhood a thriving area once again.

A lot can happen in 50 years- and SSWBA is taking steps to ensure that South Street West will see continued development for the next five decades, helping to revive the integrity, diversity, and quality of life for which this historic area has long been known.
